Our 40 Over 40 Celebration in Times Square

On September 29th, something very special happened.

The women from my 40 Over 40 Campaign had the opportunity to see themselves celebrated on the big screen in Times Square. It was a day filled with emotion, joy, laughter, gratitude and so many beautiful reactions that I will never forget.

After months of planning, photographing, listening to their stories and creating portraits that honored who they are, seeing everything come together in such an iconic place felt incredibly meaningful.

But the most powerful part of the day was not just the screen, the city or the celebration.

It was watching the women see themselves.

Seeing Themselves in a New Way

One of the most emotional parts of this experience was seeing each woman react to her own portrait.

Some smiled immediately. Some laughed. Some paused quietly for a moment. Some looked at the screen with disbelief, as if they were seeing themselves from a completely new perspective.

That is what made this day so unforgettable.

These portraits were not just images. They represented confidence, strength, beauty, personal stories and the courage to be seen.

For many women, being photographed can feel vulnerable. It takes trust to step in front of the camera, allow yourself to be guided and see yourself in a new light. Watching these women stand in Times Square and recognize their own beauty and presence was deeply moving.

A Celebration Beyond the Portraits

The day was also a celebration of everything this campaign represented.

The women received their magazines, saw their portraits displayed, shared hugs, took photos together and celebrated one another. It was not only about individual portraits. It became a shared experience, a moment of connection between women who each brought something unique to this journey.

As a photographer, I have always believed that portraits can do more than capture how someone looks. They can help someone reconnect with how they feel, how they want to be remembered and how powerful it can be to see yourself with more kindness.

This day reminded me of that in the most beautiful way.

What This Campaign Taught Me

Through this campaign, I learned so much from the women who trusted me with their stories.

I learned about resilience, confidence, vulnerability, reinvention, joy and the many different ways a woman can carry strength. Every session taught me something. Every story mattered. Every portrait became part of something bigger than I could have imagined.

The 40 Over 40 Campaign was created to celebrate women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, but it.
